Falmouth To Roscoff Race May 3rd 2024 – NoR And SI Now Available

Roscoff Race

This is the first Offshore race of 2024. We normally leave Falmouth in the early evening (often about 1800hr but check in the the NoR and SI) and sail through the night to Roscoff, which is just under 100nm (153 degrees approx). Depending on the boat, weather conditions and crew, we normally arrive from mid morning to mid afternoon. It is hard work but very rewarding and we then meet in the port for a drink together and prize giving (TBA on arrival). Most people eat in Roscoff that night and then leave the next day.

Customs can be cleared in the Brittany Ferry building (limited opening times) and documentation has be be submitted both at the UK end and French for both departures and arrivals and appropriate ships documentation carried (all details are in the “Destinations” part of the website). Please do remember your passports and medical travel insurance is advised. If you wish to join us, please email us at chairman@cogsracing.org.uk as soon as possible so we can liaise with the Marina regarding berthing etc. You must enter the COGS Offshore Series online to take part (and pay the Series entry fee), and enter the individual race via the RCYC – NoR and SI will be issued soon – and pay their entry fee. See you all in Roscoff!
